16th Asia Pacific Conference on Fracture and Strength 2020(APCFS2020)
@ オンライン(2020/11/3-11/4)
Selvaraj Thomasprabhu belongs to the laboratory of strength and fracture
of materials participated in 16th Asia Pacific Conference on Fracture and
Strength 2020 held at Booyoung Jeju Hotel & Resort located in Jeju,
Korea. Due to COVID-19 measures most of the participants joined online.
As an abroad participant my presentation also held online, and the experience
is quite divergent as a presenter as well as participant. This conference
provided an opportunity to acquire knowledge connected to my research topics
together with other advanced diversified research areas.
Conference focused on topics like fracture, fatigue, creep, biomaterials, nano mechanics, non-destructive testing, etc., Among those topics my presentation held in the session named [FrA2 - Adhesion, Adhesive, Bonding, Welding, and Joints-1] with the title of [Fatigue Crack Behavior on Thin Steel Sheets Welded by Friction Stir Spot Welding]. Though I had positive responses since it held online made little bit of uneasiness and hoping to attend the next conference as an onsite participant.
Finally, I would like to thank Prof. Atsushi Sugeta, Prof. Hiroyuki Akebono and Dr. Jinta Arakawa for their guidance in the presentation of this international conference. As well as my sincere gratitude to Prof. Hidetoshi Fujii and Prof. Yasihiro Aoki of Joining and welding research institute of Osaka University for their enormous support.
